Vehicle Break-Ins

The city is asking residents to stay extra vigilant due to recent vehicle burglaries over this past weekend in the northwest part of the city. In the early morning hours at approx. 1:30 am on Sunday 9/20/2026 vehicles were reported burglarized along Alcott Drive and Lynnwood Blvd areas.

Metro Nashville Police responded regarding vehicles being rummaged through and items of value taken. The suspects were gone from the area, and reports were taken regarding the incident. Residents made a request to the city to check its cameras and LPR units for any possible information regarding the incidents. During the search, a vehicle of interest was located and identified as a blue Jeep Compass with Mississippi registration. This vehicle was captured on camera at each location during the time of the reported incident. The vehicle information was passed onto Metro Nashville Detectives, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

Please do not leave valuables in your vehicles to include cash, electronics, firearms, keys, or anything else of value that would be an easy target. Park your vehicle in a well illuminated area and have security lights active if possible. Please do not try and approach suspicious subjects, be a good witness, and safely ascertain as many details as possible to relay to the police.

This information was relayed to Belle Meade Police and Brentwood Police as a vehicle of interest in the recent vehicle burglaries. All agencies have entered the vehicle into their LPR database to alert police if was to enter back into the city.

The city implemented its Camera/LPR Program back in 2021 and it has proven to be a tremendous asset in assisting the city and law enforcement solving crimes that might not be solvable without this technology.
