We wanted to make everyone aware of a scam that was brought to our attention today. An email is being sent out to some of our residents with an invoice attached that appears to be from the City of Forest Hills Planning Division. The emails are coming from the following address which is not a legitimate city email.
planning.cityofforesthills@usa.com
This is not a document from the city and please disregard if you receive it. This is a scam to get residents to wire money to an unknown location. The city will never ask you to wire funds for any payment.
The information has been reported to our IT department and local law enforcement for investigation.
Please do not open any links you are not familiar with or make any payment via wires. If you have any questions or doubts, please don’t hesitate to verify information with the city before making any payments at 615-372-8677 or you call email us directly at info@cityofforesthills.com.
