What FEMA Individual Assistance Covers
FEMA IA provides financial help to individuals and households impacted by the storm, including:
- Temporary housing (hotel stays or rental assistance)
- Home repairs not covered by insurance
- Replacement of essential personal items (furniture, appliances, clothing)
- Other serious disaster-related needs
Who Is Eligible (Davidson County & 28 other Co. in TN)
Residents of Davidson County who experienced storm-related damage or losses may apply.
You do not need to have major damage to apply—FEMA determines eligibility based on impact and need.

What You’ll Need to Apply
Be prepared to provide:
- Address of damaged property and current contact information
- Social Security number
- Description of storm damage

Important Information for Applicants
- FEMA may call from an unknown or out-of-state number — answer calls
- FEMA will never ask for payment
- Receiving FEMA assistance does not affect programs like SNAP, Medicaid, Social Security, or Medicare

Small Business Administration (SBA) Loans
Low-interest disaster loans may be available for:
- Homeowners and renters
- Businesses
- Nonprofits (including churches and charities)
These loans can help cover repair and recovery costs not met by insurance or FEMA grants.
