Recently, the city was awarded the TDEC Tap Grant which will be used for the City's Master Stormwater Plan. This grant will be used to survey current infrastructure conditions and make necessary modifications. This will ensure the city's infrastructure will operate effectively and proficiently to handle all the stormwater runoff. The grant will also cover necessary policy updates and MS4 mandates.
In the next month or so, you may notice some individuals inspecting the city's infrastructures throughout the city. These individuals are with Neel-Schaffer and are currently assigned as the engineer consultants for the project. They will be wearing bright traffic vests so they will be readily identifiable.
