The city-wide Camera/LPR program will be completed soon.
The city-wide Camera System is currently in the last phase of installation. The final 20 poles are in place, and we are currently getting electrical wiring installed. When these cameras are live in the next 30 -60 days, the city will have 47 Camera/ LPR locations. With rising crime in the area, these cameras will be covering every point of entrance into the City of Forest Hills as a crime deterrent and add a valuable piece of technology to assist law enforcement when crimes are committed within the city. These cameras have already assisted law enforcement in solving several crimes in the area that may have gone unsolved without this technology. These cameras will also provide residents with a little extra comfort, knowing the city is making every effort possible to make Forest Hills your forever home.
