The City of Forest Hills provides free services to residents and collects no taxes from citizens or revenue from Metro Nashville to offset the costs. These services include street paving, snow removal and salting, and chipper service/leaf pickup. The City does not provide trash pickup. Click here for a list of providers. The City sponsors Recycling Clean Out Days twice a year and partners year-round with Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee for home pickup of recyclable and reusable items.
SeeClickFix is the easy way to get things fixed in Forest Hills. The web-based work order system lets you report problems from your phone or computer. You can even ask for updates to track the progress of the job.
The City of Forest Hills provides free chipper service and leaf pickup on a monthly basis by the Parke Company. This service is provided free to residents of Forest Hills for normal yard maintenance. It is not designed to assist with clearing properties of trees, shrubs, or trash.
When is my pickup window?
Almost all streets in Forest Hills are maintained and paid for by the City. No Metro Nashville money is provided to defray these costs. The 2010 Long Range Paving Schedule inventoried, evaluated, and prioritized streets for maintenance, rehabilitation, and paving.
Snow removal and salting efforts begin with 29 priority streets, after which the contractor, Johnson Lawn and Landscape, will service the remaining streets.
The City sponsors Recycling Clean Out Day each spring and fall. Every year, residents recycle tons of electronics, scrap metal, donated goods, batteries, bulbs, expired medicine, and more.
The City partners with Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee to provide free home pickup of your donations. A phone call or web visit lets you schedule a Goodwill employee to pick up your appliances, art, books, clothing, electronics, sporting goods, and more. For more information or to schedule a pickup, call 615/346-1831.
